After receiving your produce delivery fresh from the farm, you may be wondering what the next step is. It’s time to take all that produce and transform it into a beautiful, healthy, natural meal that everyone will love!

I’m here to help you get out of that dinner rut we all find ourselves in from time to time. My goal is to make it easy for you to expand your culinary horizons, and feel healthy doing it. The first step has been done- you have a kitchen full of locally grown vegetables from BeeWench Farm. Step two is deciding what to make, and we’ve taken care of that, too!

Recipe: Chickpeas Salad
Chickpeas are a great source of fiber and protein (if you’re vegetarian, these are an especially great option). By combining this tasty and healthy beans with nutrient-rich green, leafy vegetables, you’ll have a meal worth sharing. This recipe is simple, fast and full of the fresh produce you receive in your CSA bag:

Ingredients
6oz spinach leaves, chopped
1 can chickpeas
lemon pepper
olive oil
diced green onions
feta or any crumbled soft cheese

Directions:
Drain chickpeas and rinse. Add green onions, chickpeas, cheese and olive oil to a large bowl and toss.
Add spinach and sprinkle with lemon pepper to taste. Toss and serve chilled.
