Another week, another fresh chance to mix it up in the kitchen! If you’re a Summer CSA member, this week you received a basket full of hot peppers, tomatoes, squash, sage and so much more.

This recipe is yet another delicious, simple summer favorite. And, if you purchased our free range chicken shares this week, try out this recipe with some chicken tacos. Post a picture of your mouthwatering creation on our Facebook page!

The Recipe – Pico de Gallo (Salsa Fresca)

Ingredients (may be scaled for desired quantity)

  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 jalapeno, diced
  • 2 sprigs cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • salt and pepper

Directions
Combine all items. Let chill in fridge for 30 minutes. Serve.
