okay, here is what I’m going to do…I follow quite a few “all-natural”, “frugal” and “homesteading” type blogs. I LOVE to read what other people are doing and their creative projects. I’ll admit it…I’m a shameless copycat!
So, what I would like to do is each week, probably on Friday, I’ll post some of my favorite ideas/things to do from some of my favorite blogs. They may be about gardening, DIY stuff, crafts or recipes.
So, without further ado; BeeWench Farm’s “Cool Things This Week” wrap-up:
First up is Jacqueline at Deep Roots at Home. Her blog is full of wonderful posts about being a woman, mother and wife and recipes and anything else under the sun!But this post about growing celery hit a nerve for me! I hate waste, even if it is being fed to the chickens, and I like easy stuff. So when I came across this post I was thrilled! I have a bunch of celery in the fridge and am buying 2 more tomorrow for dinner so I’ll be giving this a try ASAP!
Next is Angela at Hidden Treasures. Angela blogs about being a mom, craft projects, gardening, frugality and more! She had a great recipe for Italian Dressing mix. I make all my own salad dressings from scratch (it’s easier and wayyyyy cheaper than store-bought) and this Italian Dressing is delicious! So, visit this post for info on the recipe!
I also came across this post by Kendra at New Life on a Homestead. I love Kendra’s blog because she is just starting out on her homestead and is totally open and honest about everything they face. I love her frugal ideas and gardening advice!! But, her post the other day is one of those crafty things I just HAVE to do! She posted about making solar lanterns out of those cheapo sidewalk solar lights and mason jars! So cute and so frugal!
Allright, so there you have it! Our Cool Things This Week post! I hope you enjoyed these blog posts and will join us next week for another exciting installment!!!
